[Resolved]  Croma — Issues related to Support from CROMA and faulty Products Croma selling

Croma Team, This is Mr. Vijendra Nagotkar and my registered mobile number is [protected]. I have booked ticket with Croma on 25th May 2014 for Pureit which i had purchased approx. 2 months back and Sharp AC which i had purchased 1 year back with 2 years extended warranty from Croma Lower Parel. I have registered multiple tickets (you can check your past records as well) for my AC but till from purchase date issue is not resolved. Is Croma selling duplicate products??? I want AC issue to be resolved once and for all or else you can take back my AC and give me my money back or provide me new unit. Whichever you suggest. None of the members are able to resolve my issue getting multiple calls from Croma, Pureit and Sharp but after taking all the information no one is turning back to resolve my issue. Fail to understand is Croma really providing same after sales support to customers??? It is now more than 2 weeks but still issue is open. Till date I was telling my friends and relatives to purchase products from Croma but going ahead I will never ever suggest about Croma. Please let me know is Croma will able to resolve issue or else I will register complaint against Croma as I have received duplicate product from Croma. Hi,

Yet again we are facing the perennial problem with our 1.5 ton Croma A/C. Not a day goes by without us regretting that we bought this product. First of all, the product does not work for more than a few weeks in the summer season without a problem. And second of all, the service to get the A/C fixed is appalling.

After all our following up and chasing the technicians the last year, they finally took the outdoor unit to their workshop saying that there was a hole in the unit and the gas was leaking out. So they took the unit, repaired it and fixed it back. We had only used the A/C for a short while after that, when the season changed. Again this March when we started using the A/C we realized that it was not cooling, same as before. We made a complaint and the technicians came to repair it. But again they mentioned the same thing that all the other technicians had said earlier, that the installation is not done right and that it should be on a stand instead of on the floor of the terrace. But anyway, they just charged the gas and cleaned the indoor unit and it was cooling for a while. After a few days again the A/C stopped cooling all-together. And I raised a complaint on 29th of May. After a few days, i got a call from a technician saying that he was on the way to my house. I was at work at the time and told him to come after 5 pm so i could be there when he reaches. He didn't turn up neither did he call back.

Finding no response after that, i again called the Croma Call Center on 12th of June, and they told me that the earlier request was closed as I was not reachable!!! So I again made another request. But sorry to say, that till today we have still not received a call. I called again to the Call Center today and they have assured me that the matter will be attended to in 24 hours.

We are so fed up with this situation that we feel like throwing the A/C into the trash and blogging on every possible blog on the internet to warn people against having a horrific experience like this and to avoid buying Croma products.

I am not sure that this email will have any effect to alleviate our problem, but I am venting our frustration by writing to you on this.

We hope that someone will take notice and sort this out.

Hi,

Since 16th March, we have been making multiple calls to your service center for a technician to visit our home and service our Croma 1.5 tonne AC (We had purchased this from the Croma Store, invoice attached).

The technician promised to come last week but didn’t turn up, and when we called back we realized that the complaint had been cancelled. So we registered another complaint on 18th March and was told that the technician would come home on Saturday. However, since Saturday was Ugadi and it was a holiday nobody called or visited. But we should have been told that it was a holiday.

Then we called again and your service center said that the technician would positively come home on 23rd March (Monday), I had taken leave from work and waited the whole day but again no one came home, neither did anyone call us. I had called the service center again today more than three times this morning. And each time I was told that I will get a call back from the technician. I am still waiting……..

I am not sure what is more pathetic the product that we bought or the service to get the product repaired. It is not even two years since we had purchased this product and this is the third time that the product is not working properly. It may not have been installed correctly by your technician, as he did not put the sleeving on the tubes when it was installed, and probably that’s why the gas may be leaking out from the AC, hence it is not cooling. But for this to happen three times in barely two years? I feel we made a mistake in buying this product.

And now, the problem with the servicing. What does it take for us to get a technician to fix the AC!!!

Our warranty is expiring on 5th April, and I fell that your service center is deliberately delaying closing this, as it would be a paid service after 5th April.

I have called Customer Support this morning and have made a verbal complaint on this. However, in my frustration I felt the need to send this email as well. In 24 hours if I don’t get a proper response from your team, I will be forced to publish this in all possible blogs on the internet so we could warn other people against purchasing Croma products and facing all this inconvenience.
