[Resolved] Deccan Chronicle — Airtel Harassing me after paying the full amount of bill by saying they had reversed part of the bill | |||
I have been using Airtel, mobile services for the past 2 years. For the August 2014 bill of Rs.1864.86 I had paid an amount of Rs.1865/- vide ICICI bank cheque nos.600727 and was debited from my account on[protected]. Now, for the month of September, Airtel had sent me a bill of Rs.1530.90 and with a claim that I had paid only Rs1641.40/- and the balance amount of Rs.224.36/ pending from last bill, though I had paid the full amount. When I had sent the details of my bank payments/transactions indicating the cheque payment of Rs.1865/- to Airtel form my bank, The Person from Airtel Ms.Raghugari Ramya wrote me a mail informing that Airtel had reversed an amount of Rs223.60/- from my August paid amount!! and hence my current bill is Rs.1530.90 plus Rs.223.60/- On checking with my bank, they inform me that no such reversal was received from Airtel. I fail to understand when a customer has paid the full amount of the bill to Airtel, how can they reverse part of it and then harass the customer to pay up extra. This sounds ridiculous and only smacks of sheer unprofessional attitude. I would like to forewarn the public that Airtel is resorting to such unethical business practices to fleece the public, and hence should not be encouraged, and we should avoid using any Airtel Services in future.
