Delhivery — complaint against courier company for irresponsible behavior and non-delivery of package

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Delhivery for their unprofessional conduct, which has caused significant inconvenience to me as a consumer.

I had ordered a package with tracking number [protected] scheduled for delivery to my address “FIRST FLOOR CHAUHAN BUILDING UPPER CHAKKAR BE LOW KAMNA DEVI TEMPLE CHAKKAR SHIMLA 171005”. Despite providing accurate delivery details, the courier company failed to attempt the delivery and instead returned the package to the sender. Furthermore, I received no prior notification, call, or message from their delivery staff regarding any delivery attempt.

This behavior is unacceptable and highlights a lack of accountability and professionalism by the courier service. The company’s failure to deliver the package not only disrupted my schedule but also left me without an important item I was expecting.

The following are the specific grievances I would like to bring to your attention:
1. The delivery team did not make any attempt to deliver the package to my address.
2. There was no communication or notification regarding the alleged undeliverability.
3. The package was unjustifiably returned to the sender without my consent or any effort to resolve the issue.
4. The only communication I got from the delivery team was that they don’t have the delivery agent to deliver the package at the given address.

I have attempted to contact the company through their customer service channels, but no satisfactory resolution has been provided. This careless attitude demonstrates a disregard for customer rights and reliable service standards.

I kindly request the Consumer Forum to take the following actions:
1. Direct the courier company to re-dispatch my package to my address without any additional cost.
2. Investigate the irresponsible conduct of their delivery team and communication process.
3. Impose necessary penalties to prevent such incidents from recurring and safeguard the interests of consumers.
