Hi,
I purchased Dell Inspiron 14 5418 Laptop on the
date 13-Oct-2021 through Amazon.in website.
The laptop was working fine till yesterday.
On the date 26-Nov-2021, I charged my Laptop
and then shut down the PC.
After this, suddenly a crack appeared in the middle
of the screen.
I immediately contacted Dell Technical Support through chat.They asked me to share the images of the Laptop screen.
After seeing the images, customer support person
told me that it is a physical damage and you will get screen replacement but it is a paid service.
After this, I talked with the Dell Sales Team.
They told me the estimated cost of 4, 425.00 Rs.
for the replacement screen.
I always take the necessary precautions while using the Laptop like:
I always keep my Laptop in Laptop sleeve
and padded Laptop Bag,
I never place any object on Laptop keyboard.
Also, I have not dropped the Laptop.
I am very careful in handling my Laptop.
Thus, the crack on the screen is developed on its own.It is not due to my mistake.This is a design flaw.
I want Dell to investigate this issue and give the free replacement of the screen as the product is still under warranty.
