[Resolved] Dell India — Dell Show Room in Chennai at 1070A, Munusamy Salai,, K K Nagar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600078 | |||
I had purchased a dell Desktop + Monitor yesterday from this particular Dell Showroom in Chennai (1070A, Munusamy Salai, , K K Nagar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600078). This place has horrible customer service. The guy in charge (Mayilswamy) did not have any brochure or any written details mentioning about the product and quoted a random price. When I mentioned the Ubuntu version of the same product is at least a 5000 Rs less online than what he mentioned, he said okay we can give it for 25000 instead of his first suggested value of 27000. Random! When I asked for some written document saying what's dell's price for this - he pulled up some random excel sheet and changed numbers in front of me and showed it! Since I was running out of time and badly needed a computer for my parent's use, I went ahead and purchased it. He had promised to deliver the product the same evening by 6 PM and hence I had cancelled my other plans and we kept waiting at home. It was 8 PM, and when we call, he says - Oh I forgot to inform you, its quite tight to give it today but okay i ll send some one. And then at 9.30 PM when we call, there was no response and after some time he started giving excuses saying, they were bringing the desktop + monitor in a 2 wheeler (I wonder why they can't hire an auto to deliver a 25, 000 Rs DELL computer - Seriously, Is this Pizza Business ?!) and the delivery boy did not wear a helmet and got arrested. The next day he promised to come again and I have waited for than a couple of hours now and I'm thinking of actually calling my credit card company and asking them to cancel this transaction saying its a fraud one. @ Dell - You are a well known and a trusted brand. Please pay attention to whom you deal with. This Chennai showroom seriously needs some attention! I asked them if they were just a dealer or an actual dell place and he says its an actual dell showroom. I would rather buy another brand than having to deal with such unprofessional people! Mar 30, 2017 Complaint marked as Resolved They delivered the product later after some delay. Mayilswamy personally called us and apologized for the confusion. He said it was due to improper communication within the sales and delivery teams in the company. Dell India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint. | |||
