I am a regular customer of dell since last 6 years.
1. I handed over my dell inspiron laptop (Out of warranty period) on 17 april 2017 (Monday) to dell's authorised service centre: regenersis (India) pvt. Ltd., tilak road, pune (Since it was not switching on). I paid an amount of rs. 999 through my credit card. I did not get any invoice from the authorized centre neither did i get it to my email. 2. I was informed on 17 may 2017 (One month late) (And that too when i followed up several times) that the laptop has a reverse current problem and will cost rs. 6000 for repairs. The authorized centre representative informed that the laptop will be sent to bangalore for repairs and will be available in a weeks time.
3. My laptop was repaired and finally handed over to me on 3 june 2017 (Saturday). I paid an amount of rs. 6000 as repair charges. [annex ii]
3. My laptop suddenly stopped working on 3 july 2017. I immediately handed over my laptop back to the authorized centre (Mentioned above) on 4 june 2017. I was handed over an acknowledgement for the same. [annex iii]
4. I received a phone call on 15 july 2017 (11 days later) from service centre stating that head office of dell has stated that one month warranty of repairs was over and hence the laptop cannot be repaired now. Please note that dell gives three months warranty (Post repairs)
I demand that the repairs amount of rs. 6000 should be handed over to me immediately or the laptop should be repaired immediately free of cost.
Please note that the problem as informed to me was of mother board. The new mother board costs rs. 15000.
The dell representative mentioned that there is no need to replace the motherboard.
I request you to consider the fact that it was just one day that had elapsed. It was not a period of beyond 2 or more months that my laptop stopped functioning. I therefore request you to do the re-repairs and oblige.
