Dell India — Improper service - dell india pvt ltd | |||||
Dear team, I had purchased expensive laptop computer from dell india pvt ltd. After 1 and half year, had a minor problem and reported to dell service. Dell service visited and replaced the parts; however i was not happy on replaced part as it was physical damage in it, however computer working normally. I reported to dell the same and dell agreed to replace but not immediately. The replacement will be done when any issue occurs in future. After a month noticed lcd monitor had a red spot which is defective, and reported to dell and dell sent the service engineer along with both pars to replace. Dell service engineer replaced the parts and switched on system, found computer not functioning. He dismantled and re-assembled multiple times and damaged further more parts, another 3 parts had physical damage and electronic board (S) not functioning. Dell service engineer had not used electronic device production equipment while handling rapiers. And not handled proper methods to repair computer, the engineer is not having enough skill to handle this model machine. So due to defective workmanship, the computer is lost its originality. I have asked dell to replace the whole unit, deliver the new computer of the same model and pick-up the damaged computer. Dell did not agreed, and agreed to rectify the computer back to working condition, but all required parts will be replaced with refurbished (Already used defective parts in some other computer will be repaired/rectified) parts, which dell confirming it is the warranty terms and conditions. I did not agree to that as the damage due to unskilled service engineer from dell, required to rectify the system with brand new parts and do not want refurbished parts. Dell confirmed that cannot done repair with new parts. This damage due to dell service engineer defective work, hence i wanted dell to deliver the new product as replacement or rectify the computer with new parts replacements.
