Dell India — Invalid warranty | |||
I bought a Dell Inspiron 11 3000 series 3137 from Lalani Infotech, Emall, Kolkata on 8th Jan 2016. As there was some problem with the laptop on 20.1.2015 I contacted Dell India customer care and gave them my laptop's Service Tag: JF4GPY1 & Express Service Code: [protected]. I was told that the warranty of my laptop had expired on 18.03.2015. I was shocked to learn how the warranty can expire before the date of purchase. They told me to contact the dealer and get the warranty updated and only then they will provide service. I also checked the warranty status of the laptop through Dell India website link and there too it shows that the warranty of my laptop had expired on 18.03.2015. I have spoken to the dealer who said that they are taking up the matter with the concerned and the warranty will be updated shortly. Till the time of submitting this comlaint the warranty has not been updated. Why should the customer suffer for the fault of the seller/manufacturer? I want immediate refund.
