This is with reference to the fd4gy1 service tag. It was purchased in 2013. Since then parts which have been replaced are many. You can view them in the history itself. To get the parts replaced is a big task. Engineers do not come till they are satisfied with the requirement of replacement. This is all good from dell india point of view only from cost side. However i have completely different view:
1. I have 4 years extended warranty. Should i spend those years in living with substandard products.
2. If motherboard, monitor, usb ports, ram all are replaced, has this issue been highlighted to senior management.
3. You provide online support, only factor which is of help is customer does not have to go service center but what about the time lost by customer during online assistance.
4. Once i was at service center, one of the technician remarked dell replaces the part and do not repair. Now if so many parts are being replaced then it indicates that controls are poor/no control.
5. My son used this laptop at manipal and had harrowing experience as laptop proved to be a liability as many times it has to be serviced and it was also time consuming. Is dell management ready to compensate for time spent in availing services of dell.
6.in view of that i request you to consider the case and replace the laptop.in case it is not within your powers please let me know the higher authority to whom i can approach. Was this information helpful? |
