[Resolved] Dell — New laptop - poor performance | |||||
I bought a dell inspiron 3148 laptop from us 2 months back (express code [protected]). ever since the laptop was bought, the performance has been extremely slow. it works much slower than my 10 year old laptop! i called the dell support team and they asked for rs 3500 to diagnose the software problem. the dell team should be answerable if a new laptop is not working properly. just saying that software is not in warranty is not appropriate. now even some of the keys on the keyboard are not working fine. this is my worst ever experience with a laptop. request you to please get it checked and repaired at the earliest. You may try the following steps to improve the speed of your laptop:
1. Update if there is any update in Windows available for your OS.
Windows Update is the premier starting point to resolve most common driver issues you might experience.
Simply launch it from Start > Settings > Update and Recovery and click Check for Updates
2. Try to scan your laptop for any viruses
3. Uninstall the programs you don't use or you don't need.
Click Start > Control Panel > Uninstall a program. From the list of programs that appears, click the program you want to uninstall, then click Uninstall.
