I purchased my Dell Laptop (service tag - 8HYXGZ1) on 23rd May 2014 from the authorized dealer in Nehru Place (Delhi), Vidur & Co Pvt Ltd.
I was facing some problem with my system hence I called up the customer care, they informed me that the warranty of my laptop lapsed in December, further I was informed that this could be the date when the dealer purchased the system from Dell.
However the dealer should have updated Dell about my purchase and hence should have updated the warranty to till 23rd May 2015, as a result I was not helped on my issue by dell customer care suggesting that my system was out of warranty.
Due to the negligence on the part of dealer I had to face this issue and had to call an engineer (not from Dell) to help me resolve the issue.
I was not liable to pay to an engineer for an issue which should have been covered under warranty, this is clearly the mistake of the dealer due to which I had to suffer and this is not acceptance.
I request you to please look into the matter and provide me with a resolution.
