I purchased 1 single piece of battery charger adapter from a uk based ecommerce company called cvp (Creative video production limited: https://cvp.com) on 23rd april 2019 and my order was shipped through dhl express and the tracking no is: [protected].
To my utter dismay, a customer executive from dhl express india kyc called me on my mobile phone on 24th april 2019 informed me to furnish an import export code certificate and upload my gstin number or pan card on dhl express kyc site.
I informed customer executive from dhl express india kyc that i am totally unaware and stray to such documents, since i don't own any company and i have ordered the product solely as as an individual buyer and i have uploaded my aadhar card as supporting document on kyc site of dhl express india with matches with my invoice bill and shipping address.
In reply, the customer executive from dhl express india kyc further complicated the issue and told me that my kyc documents has been rejected and it is likely you will have to pay warehouse charges till kyc formality is not updated and on failing to do so my consignment will be destroyed by custom officials after expiry of 30 days.
I was charged £23.65 (2, 142.44 indian rupee) by uk based ecommerce company called cvp (Creative video production limited: https://cvp.com) as shipping cost against dhl parcel worldwide. Add to that, the product is very small and will weigh hardly 100-150 gm (Battery charger adapter)
1) so, my question is why should i pay additional warehouse charges?
2) as i have clearly stated that i am an individual buyer so on what ground my consignment is facing such hassles and from where on earth i will furnish such never heard stray documents?
