DHL Express India — Overcharged delivery | |||
I am a regular DHL user from chennai. I have recently had a bad experience with DHL Exp while sending a parcel to my son in the USA. Recently I have sent two parcels containing domestic items like, clothes, sweets etc to my son who is living in Columbus, Ohio, USA. There is a huge difference in charges between two consolidators who picked up the parcel from us. Details as below 1. way bill[protected].5KG Charges Rs.3500/- 2.way bill[protected].8kg charges Rs.5850/- For a weight of approximately 3.5 to 4 kg - charges mentioned in DHL official website are Rs.4360/- including GST one guy is charging his customer Rs.3500/- and another Guy is charging Rs.5800/- . Going by the charges of the first guy, I am sure he would have made at least 500 rs. margin - hence DHL rate to him must be approximiately Rs.3000/- This means that the Second guy charges are almost DHL charges and it is double for end consumer like me. When I spoke to one of the toll free no of DHL they mentioned to me that the charges are from a consolidator and DHL is not responsible for it and I need to talk to the consolidator. Also I wrote mails to DHL Country management and they are again mentioning that there is no CONTROL on the charges made by the consolidator. When I spoke to the consolidator here (Prasanna enterprises, chennai600091) he was not coming out with facts. I had to push him hard to get even a bill for the amount I paid. I paid him Rs.5850 whereas he gave a bill for Rs.5450/-. for one of my earlier shipments in july, he is not even giving bill. His company name is Prasanna Enterprises, 348 Medavakkam Main Road, Ullagaram, chennai 600 091 as declared in his bill to me. He is using a document from DELHIVERI - With his company rubber stamp on it. How far this is authentic, I really don't know. This document also I got after great difficulty. Please note that the ultimate beneficiary is DHL(I have the proof that they transported the goods through their AWB document) and they got their business done at their minimum charges and they are happy about that. WHEREAS THE CONSUMERS LIKE US ARE BADLY AFFECTED BY THIS AND I NEED YOUR HELP TO INTERVENE AND GET ME A RESOLUTION AND MAKE SURE THAT NO CONSUMERS LIKE US ARE FOOLED AROUND LIKE THIS.
