Courier office: new sanghavi pune

My parcel delivered on within time but receiver got letter from feddx to pay additional charges at 18gbp. I was not aware before courier that parcel to uk. No body told me this charges and i already paid required amount for courier that is rs3800
I contacted courier office located in sanghvi pune. But they are not providing any answer. Could you please let me know why additional tax applied on courier,
I think dtdc service only bare that charges.

Courier on 3rd Nov 2017 from Yalahanka. Found by addressee on a table kept at entrance of his apartment building at Malleshwaram on 4th Nov 2017. Not delivered in person, nor intimated by mobile by the courier.
Envelop found to be torn in the middle.
Service highly unsafe and thus unsatisfactory.
