Dtdc — Parcel asked to pick myself and holded back in store room for 3 days

DTDC though been in courier business for 24 years has never realized that courier is a service and It's the worst in customer service. I, student at IIM Calcutta booked my courier on 1st March 2014, paying Rs.1408, with consignment no. D16240805, to Nandyal (518501) as destiny location. The dtdc guys at Nandyal called me on 5th March, asking me to pick my courier myself, and the lame reason they gave is that they can't find the house no.'s, and after asking them to deliver at the popular location, they hang up the phone and hasn't delivered till now. Now they aren't lifting the call too and the worst part is that their customer service also doesn't lift the phone, it costed me Rs.30 to wait in line, but never got connected to the CCE. I am booking Cheating case with complaints, that they didn't live upto their promise of 5 days delivery and also didn't live upto their promise of home delivery. Adding upto cheating is their worst website which don't even accept the feedback, wonder how much of stress these guys have been causing to the lakhs of customers. They should be banned totally in India for they are not service providers, they are Dadas. If i had to pick myself, i could have booked the courier by rail parcel which would have costed me only 800 and i paid 600 extra, for the service not for their dadagiri.The DTDC head office people should be contacted, and should be told that they should take care of their service, not just in cities but also in towns. To the matter of fact they should take care of their service, everywhere they are present. They should be told that Nandyal DTDC courier guys are not delivering their parcels and hence should either employ the guys who will deliver or remove their service, as they are not living upto their Desk to Desk courier. The guys here are holding up the parcels without not delivering and expecting the customers to pick their parcels themselves. Nandyal DTDC guys should deliver my parcel urgently as they have been holding it for 3 days in their store room. Also Govt. should see that DTDC guys have some redressal mechanism as they don't have one, since customer service is just fake which never lifts the phone and their website doesn't accept any feedback.
