[Resolved]  Ebay.in — Sub: Wrong item delivered and that too despite cancellation of order!

Dear Sir, I am writing to you with great hopes since I have tried all other options and havent got a just response till now. I hope you will take a just decision considering the difficulties and hopelessness of buyers in cases of E Retailing (online shopping) if there genuine problems are not addressed properly. There is a serious goo[censored]p here. I had ordered a Sony DSC W 830 camera on 10/11 Oct 14 night ( PaisaPay ID : [protected] Item no[protected] through Seller: Member id estore0913. I also requested the seller to dispatch only the black colour since there was no provision of selecting the colour was available on site and the seller had clearly stated that buyer should specify the colour after ordering. I immediately called the seller on phone and clearly requested him to dispatch only the black colour. I also forwarded a mail to him for the same. Thereafter in evening I again called him up and the seller informed that the black colour only has been dispatched. On 17th Oct I saw the status of the item as "held up in TP" so I contacted both Blue Dart as well as eBay. eBay customer care asked me to wait till 21 Oct since the item is likely to be delivered by 21 Oct 14. But when Blue Dart seemed to have misplaced the item in transit, and could not reply to where the item was, on 21 Oct 14 I cancelled the order and requested for refund (Claim ID : 703617). The status of item shown on site as on 21 Oct 14 was as follows: - Date / Time Status Description Location 16/10/2014 03:55 On hold with LP CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE DELHI HUB 16/10/2014 00:17 In transit SHIPMENT FURTHER CONNECTED CHENNAI AIRPORT HUB 15/10/2014 16:19 In transit SHIPMENT ARRIVED CHENNAI AIRPORT HUB 15/10/2014 02:10 In transit SHIPMENT FURTHER CONNECTED EGMORE 14/10/2014 22:51 Shipment picked up SHIPMENT ARRIVED EGMORE 13/10/2014 13:20 Ready to ship Ready to ship Chennai 13/10/2014 13:20 Print Print Chennai Note: - Above the table it was mentioned that the likely date of delivery is 16 Oct 14. Then after confirming from eBay customer care contact no that the order has been cancelled since the item could not be delivered by 21 Oct 14, (the date given by ebay for delivery), I again ordered the same camera from other seller (seller : camyzone.in, PaisaPay ID [protected] Item[protected] on 21 Oct 14. I requested this seller also to dispatch black colour camera only. Mr Navneet Khurana (the second seller ie. Camyzone.in) informed that the item is little delayed because of Blue Dart courier. I casually informed him also how one of my previous item was misplaced by Blue Dart. Yesterday, ie. On 27 Oct 14, I received the Sony DSC W830 Camera and since I had already cancelled my previous order, I assumed it to be the new order delivery and my wife accepted the courier. The camera was of silver colour and not of black colour as I had requested both the times. Since the item was of silver colour, I didn’t even open the item which is lying in sealed condition. Today, I received the email stating that my Claim ID : 703617 has been resolved since the item has been delivered. That is funny. Why should the item be delivered against the order that has been cancelled by me. I had informed Blue Dart also. And secondly, when the item was not delivered in time, why was my order kept open for over 6 days and then when I made one mistake of accepting wrong order because of confusion of the same item and the same courier, it was immediately closed. And then why is the provision of reporting an issue again disabled? Even if the first issue of not delivering the item is closed because of my accepting the item, what happens if there are some other issues with the item received? The item is of different colour than the one requested and no body seems to be helping me on that. I tried to chat online with your staff but they plainly said cooperate with the seller. I told him that the seller is picking the phone but he said send email to him then and he shall reply within 24-48 hours. Well if he is not picking phone only then emailing would make me loose another two days. Sir, I dont want to keep this item since it is of silver colour whereas I had requested for Black colour. Please get this item picked up and refund my amount against the older order ie PaisaPay ID : [protected] or alternatively get the item changed by black colour item (should be in sealed condition) at the earliest. PS: -I wish to bring out here that it is wrong to make the buyer completely accountable and the seller as well as eBay or even the courier should not be held accountable for anything. The item was not delivered in time nobody accountable. The order was not formally cancelled even in six days and nobody is held accountable. Different colour camera was supplied despite my clear request on phone and still nobody is held accountable. Even if the seller was dispatching silver colour he did not even feel the need to inform me despite me giving him y cell no, and nobody is held accountable. Then I make one mistake of accepting an order without checking whether its old or new order and immediately things get going and my pending cancellation order is closed and the deal is sealed without even a chance for to take up any new issues if there are any. What if on opening I find the camera to be defective? I just don’t have a chance to even report the matter. Frankly sir, I have been doing lot of online shopping through Amazon India, Flipcart and SnapDeal till recently. I always thought ebay was only for second help items auctioning and that is why I never tried it. But a few months back one of my friends informed that eBay also has new items though he warned me that the services are not so good. But despite that I tried ebay and my experiences have been very fine except little slow delivery. But this time I feel let down. E Retials don’t work with such one sided approach since the buyers are equally important if not more and hence a balance judicial approach needs ot be taken. Finally, I request you to inform me of your decision at the earliest so that I can accordingly inform the seller of the next order since I don't want to land up with two cameras and also don't want the seller to go through trouble.
