[Resolved]  Eureka Forbes — regarding getting rs. 2000/- and new adopter (cheated by fraudulent franchisee)

Dear madam/ sir,

Sub: this is regarding fraudulent and cheating by person who owns franchisee by name ‘classic marketing’ for eureka forbes products in tumkur, karnataka india.

The frachisee owner and the service boy stole money from us of rs.2000/- in the name of repairing our auqaguard product ‘universal water purifier - ro +uv +uf’ in addition to dammagiung the adopter in the name of checking the power issues. The adopter costs around rs.1500/-.

We had purchased auqaguard product ‘universal water purifier - ro +uv +uf’ in 2016 from the fracise shop ‘classic marketing’, located at the address below:
1st floor, taluk panchayat shopping complex, m g road, tumkur-572101.

The concerned person is mr. Renuka prasad (Ph: +91-[protected] and +91-[protected]), the owner of the franchisee classic marketing’ for eurekaforbes.

When we purchased the product from this franchisee, the person wrote above mentioned contact details on the receipt and asked to call the number written on it for any issues.

We faced problem with our aquaguard unit which stopped working even power was not working in the last week of sep’18. Hence my mother who lives in tumkur tried reaching the number written on the receipt. Mr. Renuka prasad kept replying that his person will come to inspect the problem and nobody turned out even after a week. Then when i went to my hometown (I live in bangalore), i tried calling the person on 6th oct’18. I received a call from the service boy mr. Chetan (Ph: +91-[protected]) that he would visit in the afternoon.

Service boy came in the noon and checked the unit, we explained the problem and also asked to replace the filters. He removed the unit back cover and said, fuse might have gone. Then later he said mother board might have gone and needs to be replaced. He said it will cost around rs.3000/-. Then to my shock he cut the adopter wire. I asked why are you cutting the adopter wire, he said, may be the wire has gone and need to check the wire condition. He went on to cut the wire. Now it cannot be used anymore.

Later he said, i need to get the filters and also need to get the spare board and demanded advance of rs.2000/-. He also said as it is a saturday, and he has to go to the go-down for the spares and pay the money otherwise it stock team will not give the parts.

We called up the franchisee owner mr. Renuka prasad and explained him the situation and also told him that service boy is demanding advance or rs.2000/-. Prasad asked us to give the advance of rs.2000/- and we paid him the advance. Service boy said he will give the receipt in the evening.

Seviceboy took the money and said will return in the evening or late night if possible. We waited, he did not turn up. When we called him he said, he will come next day (7th oct’18) around 11 am.

We waited the whole day on 7th oct, no body turned up. When we called the franchisee owner, he gave irresponsible rude reply, he said “service boy will come, you need to wait”.

Next day i took off from my work for the work since my mother is not well and had to drink the purified water (Which is the reason why we put so much of money in buying this product which costs us rs.23000/-).

I had to return to my work on tuesday (8th oct’18). I kept calling both renuka and chetan every day at least 3 times a day. Unfortunately nobody bothered to respond to my calls for over a week till 15th oct’18. It is a simple case of cheating and fraudulent by renuka prasad who runs the franchisee and chetan works there.

Since we waited for long, my mother got the aquaguard issue fixed through our relative (Replacing the filters only). There was no issue with the board, there was a loose connectivity inside which is fixed at no extra cost. We paid for the new adopter (Since the previous one was damaged by the ‘classic marketing’ franchisee)

On 15th oct the service boy, answered my call and said he will coming with another person. I told him that you need to bring the adopter also. We just wanted somebody to come so that we can collect our money back and the new adopter.

When chetan came along with another service boy, we told him that we got it repaired since my mother is not well and we could not wait for long without any response from.

Chetan told us to visit the franchisee the same day around 4 pm (Since renuka prasd will come to office at 4 pm) in the evening to collect the money and the new adopter as he has already given the money to renuka prasad. When we tried calling renuka prasad he simply denied to give back the money and said, he has invested so much money in getting the franchisee i cannot just give back the money. His response was very rude to my mother over the call. My mother felt like he is kind of rowdy when she heard him over the call. This is very threating to an elderly women.

My mother and i went to franchisee at 4 pm which is located in 1st floor. My mother who has undergone knee surgery (Doctor’s had advised her not to claim stairs) claimed to 1st floor in pain. We found the shop was locked and waited for 15 minutes. I tried calling both renuka and chetan. No one responded.

I also learnt that from his neighboring shops and few other ex-survive boys who worked here earlier that mr. Renuka prasad targets elderly people and has cheated many in tumkur in the pretend of service.

Sir, we trust eureka forbes and the products and the service aftersales that is why we blindly select the products from you without comparing with any other brand.

I would like to suggest that please recall the franchisee given to ‘classic marketing’ which targeting, cheating and stealing money from the customers who trust you. We the customers would be at least able to give good feedback afterwards.

I hope you would consider the request and understand our pain and help us in getting our hard earned money of rs.2000/- and the new adopter which is damaged by these fraudulent people ‘renuka prasad and chetan’.
