Through your seemingly reputed name, we had ordered for a delivery of 10 packages (180kgs) of furniture that included a three seater sofa, a two seater sofa, a marble table, and a bed. The goods were consigned to our residence address mentioning the flat number located on 2nd floor of the building. (Fedex tracking[protected] When the goods arrived on 18th july 2019 in a big truck, fedex delivery personnel phoned and requested me to come below the building in what appeared to be for verifying and identifying the packages… but to my utter dismay they left whole cargo below the building and fast left claiming to be ‘very busy with other places to go’! After scrambling to locate fedex to get them delivered at the designated apartment, on phone call, their area staff member (A lady) shirked all responsibility by giving an absurd reason ‘your designated address doesn’t show words 2/floor, only mentions flat number so its not their responsibility to deliver in the flat.!! She refused to reason out or discuss logically, was rude and stuck to her absurd reason. So where on the form does it mention the cargo to be delivered/abandoned on the street??? The packages were just left on the ground causing a lot of hardship and inconveniences as our elderly mother had to stay down to take care of them for a few hours, while we had to arrange for manpower to deliver the packages to the residence. Our repeated phones to fedex were to no avail. Besides this hassle of refusing to deliver at designated address, the cargo was roughly handled in transportation and dragged from truck to ground. We found the marble top for a table was cracked and sofa’s slightly torn.. While the packages were given to fedex in strong export packed condition. This is nothing but deficiency of services by fedex, non-delivery at designated address, poor and ridiculous handling and it is mandated for fedex to take full responsibility of these losses incurred and follow up with its customer to do the needful.
