After opening an account in www.flipkart.com, orders can be placed without email verification.Any person can register with flipkart with any email id. A verification link is sent to the email, but it is not mandatory in flipkart to verify the email before placing orders.This leads to many problems. The original email id owner cannot open an account with flipkart, since the email id has already been registered. In an extreme possibility, if a person with the knowledge of other person's email id and address want to create some problems/nuisance, he can simply place the order in flipkart without any problem of verification. Email verification is the first step in maintaining the safety of consumer information. But in flipkart.com it is not at all followed. When the customer service of flipkart is contacted, the response was very poor.
