The Issue: I purchased an Acer Monitor (EK240Y P6) from Flipkart on 16th Nov 2025. It was delivered via "Open Box Delivery."
The Loophole/Trap: The delivery agent allowed me to inspect the external body and accessories, which looked fine. However, he refused to let me plug in the monitor to check the display. Since there was no external physical damage, I accepted the OTP.
The Defect: Immediately after the agent left, I plugged it in. The monitor turns on, but there is a internal patch in the center of the screen. This was a Latent Defect (hidden damage) that was impossible to detect during the Open Box verification process on a black screen.
The Harassment:
Flipkart closed my return request, stating I must get a "Job Sheet" or denial letter from the brand.
Acer (Ticket: ACR5031738) confirmed via chat that this is "Physical Damage - Not Covered Under Warranty, " but they are delaying the issuance of the official Job Sheet PDF (It has been more than 3 days, and I haven't received any update despite multiple reminders).
My return window expires in 4 days, and both parties are stalling.
Legal Action Taken: I have filed a grievance with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH Docket: 8201825) and tweeted about it.
