I placed on order ( as in subject line) for Samsung A35 8 gb ram, 128 gb storage) as the phone i was using suddenly became inactive. I used the flipkart minutes option. The phone was delivered under 15 minutes.
I did check the listing description for the phone before placing the order. There was not any explicit mention of "Returns not accepted" anywhere.
After receiving the order, i tried the phone using the sim cards for the network, i use. The sim cards were never recognoised.
I was hoping for the phone to have esim compatibility. But i did not see any option for esim.
I did immediately reach out to Flipkart custiomer support and let them know the issue.
After second thoughts, i decided to return the phone itself rather than having it inspected. I did let flipkart support know about this rewuesting for initiation of the return process.
As i mentioned earlier, i did not see any "Returns not accepted " mention anywhere.
To my surprise, i subsequently observed that Flipkart support had initiated a technician visit rather than accepting for the return of the phone.
I have clearly reiterated than i do not want the phone and would prefer returning the phone than retaining it.
But to my discomfort, Flipkart support has been quiet on my repeated requests.
I did let the technician who called for a visit that my intention is to return the phone and not retain it.I declined to entertain the technician visit. This was a week back.
And i get a call again today from another technician for a visit to inspect the phone. I did let him know that my intent is to return the phone and not keep it.
The phone has been packed in the box since the day it was received.
I really am not happy with how the issue is being handled.
Here are my observations:
1. The listing does not explicit say that returns are not accepted.so i am not sure as to why i cannot return the phone ( as i decided to not use it). Isincerely belive its my choice and has nothing to do with any issues.
2. There is no clear mention about esim compatibility. There are variants of the same model that are esim compatible.
Flipkart customer support has not been helpful.Jeeves has been annoying. Since i refused technician visit, Flipkart has cancelled the return.
