[Resolved] Flipkart — laptop invoice doesn't contain serial number of the laptop | |
Recently (Order date is 14.05.2019) i have purchased a hp 15q apu dual core a9 - (4 gb/1 tb hdd/windows 10 home/2 gb graphics) 15q-by002ax laptop" from flipkart and the seller is retailnet. I have got the invoice of my laptop in my registered email address and also got a hardcopy of the same inside the box. But it is o[censored]tmost surprise that the serial number of the laptop has not been mentioned in the invoice. You know serial number is very important for warranty. Again the manufacturing year of the laptop that i have received is february 2018. Therefore when i go to hp website for registration, it shows that the warranty period expired. But i came to know that warranty should start from the date of purchase. Therefore i have requested flipkart customer care and the seller retailnet to please send me another copy of the invoice in my registered email address containing serial number of the laptop. Flipkart responded to my complaint and informed me that the seller retailnet can't modify the invoice. So my question is, if software used by flipkart allows seller to generate invoice without serial number then there should be a facility to modify it. They have asked me to return the product. Jul 3, 2019 Complaint marked as Resolved Flipkart customer support has been notified about the posted complaint. Verified Support May 30, 2019 Flipkart Customer Care's response Customer raised a complaint stating that the serial number mentioned in the invoice and the serial number of the product are different. We have interacted with the customer and informed that we shall raise a return request with the seller, however, customer denied the same. Hence, closing the complaint from our end.
