[Resolved]  Flipkart — mobile phone imei number shows invalid

I bought a motorola moto g6 play from flipkart. Now i want to exchange it for another phone on flipkart. For buying a phone from flipkart through exchange one has to fill the imei number and it is automatically verified. But in my case the imei number is showing as invalid.
When i checked the imei number on independent imei tracking websites, it shows some other model. I believe there is something wrong with this as the imei number on the box and the one i get after dialing *#06# are same but it does not find any match on the various imei tracking websites.
