We write with reference to your e-mail dated September 10, 2021 to ICICI Bank regarding your Savings Account XXXXXXXX0858.

At the outset, we sincerely regret the inconvenience caused to you.

We have done a detailed investigation on the concern raised by you and appended are the clarifications as sought by you:

As per our records the transaction dated August 27, 2021 for an amount of Rs.2, 042.00 has been successfully processed from our end and settled to beneficiary. For other transaction dated on August 27, 2021 for an amount of Rs.3, 395.00 we have requested the branch to raise a debit consent.

In your case, we have made multiple attempts and requested the incorrect beneficiary for the debit consent. However, we have not received any revert from the beneficiary.

In the absence of debit consent from the beneficiary, we will be unable to accede to your request for reversal of the funds.

Upon your complaint regarding the funds transferred beneficiary account, we have taken up the matter with Flipkart. whereas Flipkart team has wrongly credited to other customer’s Account Number XXXXXXXX0858 instead your Account number XXXXXXXX0858 by Flipkart.

Meanwhile, we suggest that for faster resolution / further assistance, you may also take up this matter along with RRN No.[protected] with the Flipkart bank directly.

We trust that the above clarifies your issue.

We have referred the case details to our Internal Ombudsman of the Bank (Appointed on the directive of Reserve Bank of India to look into the complaints), who has examined the case and expressed that the reply being given by the Bank's internal grievance mechanism is in order.

In case you are not satisfied with our response and wish to further pursue the matter, you may write to the Office of the Banking Ombudsman, Reserve Bank of India of your region located at(contact details given below) for redressal of your grievances whose services are offered "free of cost". The scheme of Banking Ombudsman promoted by Reserve Bank of India is prominently displayed at all branches of ICICI Bank and their website:
