Respected Sir/Madam,
I am writing to file a formal complaint against Flipkart Travel (operated via MakeMyTrip) regarding a denied refund for a flight ticket booked through their platform.

Route: Chennai to Muscat
Travel Date: 20th June 2025

I was unable to travel on the scheduled date, and hence the booking status became No-Show.
As per DGCA rules and airline policies, in No-Show cases, only the unutilized tax component is refundable—the fare portion is considered forfeited. I followed protocol and personally raised a refund request with Air India Express, who subsequently processed the eligible tax refund amount of ₹2, 027 directly to Flipkart's bank account.
However, Flipkart Travel is refusing to transfer this refund to me, wrongly treating the booking as a cancellation, deducting cancellation fees, and issuing only ₹287. Despite multiple follow-ups for over a month, they continue to repeat the same explanation and refuse to acknowledge the official communication and refund from the airline.
My Grievance:
Flipkart has withheld the tax refund of ₹2, 027 that rightfully belongs to me.
Their reasoning is in violation of DGCA regulations which clearly distinguish between a cancellation and a No-Show.
The process has caused financial loss, wasted time, and significant mental stress.
I Request:
Immediate refund of the ₹2, 027 received by Flipkart from Air India Express.
Compensation for mental harassment, undue delay, and poor handling of my repeated complaints.
A directive to Flipkart to implement clear compliance with aviation and consumer protection norms for No-Show refunds.
