Flipkart — Regarding refund of delivered unsatisfactory/damaged product

Dear Flipkart Team,

I am writing to formally escalate my complaint regarding the washing machine I ordered, which was delivered on 28 June.

After delivery, I requested a return because no installation engineer had visited. When I contacted Flipkart customer support, I was informed that this model did not require an installation engineer.

Meanwhile, my family attempted to plug in the washing machine. As soon as it was switched on, it started making an unusually loud and alarming noise, which scared them. I immediately instructed my family not to use the machine again and requested a return/refund.

In addition to the abnormal noise, we found that the washing machine door is completely loose and lacks a proper door-holding mechanism. The door feels detachable and the overall build quality is extremely poor. Compared to similar washing machines, this product appears to be of inferior quality.

What is even more disappointing is the service experience. I have been waiting for a technician visit, which was confirmed through messages from Flipkart. However, no technician has ever called or visited. Despite this, I repeatedly receive messages stating that I was "not reachable, " which is completely incorrect. I have already rescheduled the visit three times, yet the same issue continues.

To make matters worse, when I contacted Flipkart customer support, the representative connected the call, placed me on hold, and then disconnected the call without providing any assistance. This level of customer service is unacceptable.

I am completely dissatisfied with both the product and the service provided by Flipkart. Based on this experience, I believe purchasing such appliances from an offline store would have been a much better choice.

I request an immediate refund for this defective product. I also request that this matter be treated as an urgent escalation and handled by the appropriate escalation team without any further delay.
