Hathway is a cheating company. I have broadband connection with Hathway. It works good most of the times, but some times the speed is very slow. its all can be ignored as a normal one, but the real problem is very frequent disconnection. In a month approximately 4 to 5 times of disconnection. I have raised this issue to the customer care. They are very cool in saying that it is a common and I will be given a compensation for those disconnection days. A request has to be raised for that, but that request can be raised only after the present disconnection is resolved.
After few days, I called again and raised the request for the compensation. After few days a person from technical team has called and enquired about the disconnection days. He said that compensation can not be given as the disconnection is resolved within 4 to 5 hours. I did not agree to it and he convinced to agree for the compensation for those disconnection days. Totally 6 days are eligible for compensation. He said that he is raising it to the concerned team for further approval and the compensation may be either by extension of validity days or reduction in next month billing. After few days, he called again and confirmed that 6 days are approved and bill deduction can be done at next month bill. I called after 10 days to know the bill deduction amount, they said it is not possible to confirm at that time and I have to wait until the last day of bill that is on 25th.
On 25th, they called and said that billing deduction is not possible, only service extension is possible that will be done in next month, so asked me to pay the full amount on that month (February). I called next week again to check the status, they asked me to wait for 1 week, Again I called one week they confirmed that no such requests are pending, I have to raise the request right from the beginning. After I explained all the issues refering to the earlier tickets, they agreed that extension request is exist, but they asked me to wait further 1 week. Now the time for the next month billing payment. I called them again to check the extension, they said extension is not possible, only bill deduction is possible for 4 days, that can be done in next month, so asked me to pay the full amount in March also and simultaneously they raised a ticket for bill deduction. I explained them that the compensation is not for 4 days it is for 6 days. After 1 week, a person called me and confirmed again that 6 days of bill deduction is approved and I will receive an SMS within 4 days containing the details of the deduction and payments. I have not received any SMS and called the customer care again. They asked me to call after 20th, so that they can tell the amount after deduction. I called on 21st and they raised another ticket[protected]W659381) to know the amount and told me that I will get a call from the concerned team with the details. On 25th April, since no one has called me, I called the customer care to know the amount, they said that I am eligible for bill deduction but the bill amount is not confirmed, so said that he is going to raise one more ticket that will be responded in 2 days. Since I don't want my connection to be elapse, I have to pay the full amount on 25th April also. Today 28-April, a person has called me and said that I am eligible for 6 days and it can be done either in bill deduction or service days extension and started talked as afresh and said that relevant ticket is raised only 4 days back. I don't understand why they are behaving like this. I conveyed her my inconvenience and their cheating behavior with false promises. She got angry on me as I convey my issues.
In the above message, I have skipped many further calls and tickets I raised during the past 4 months. The count of call would be around 50 times and the number of tickets would be around 10 to 15.
All my tickets are closed. All my calls are not answered by them properly. It is very rude behavior of the billing team while talking. Many times they say that they are billing and collection team, they can't help about this issue. My simple question was if a billing team can not handle my billing issue, who else can support on this billing issue (to know the bill amount for next month)?
Its all a cheating behavior. If a person cannot get the pre-agreed compensation for the consecutive 4 months even after making several followups through multiple tickets and phone calls, it clearly confirms the Hathway a FRAUD company.
The amount of compensation would be around Rs. 100, but the value of time I spent making requests and followups would worth to Rs. 10, 000/-
All my tickets are marked closed without even a resolution and no communication from Hathway. Even I wouldn't have bothered much if they would have said compensation is not possible, but they said compensation is possible an approved, but to grant it they are cheating like anything. In-between they tried to reduce the days from 6 to 4. Some days they said no such request exist and it has to be raised afresh.
All these are CHEATING BEHAVIOR of HATHWAY and this experience make it to treat this a FRAUD company.
The WORST service by Hathway. I would strongly recommend the friends not to get into this trap of Hathway.
