[Resolved] Hathway — Delay in request processing | |||
I have moved to a new location in April and hence wanted to move my Hathway Broadband connection. I had called them to check availability in my new location (Nagpada) and they confirmed that the connection can be moved. They asked me to make a payment of Rs 450 and submit new address proof and ID documents by mail. I completed these formalities on June 4th and they said that the connection would be moved in 7 days. I kept following up with them continuously to ensure that the connection was moved in time. On the 7th day, they said that the payment I had made was adjusted against a previous outstanding. I clarified that there was no previous outstanding and that it was a billing error for which I had spoken to them already and had several mail exchanges with their billing desk. They said they would take care of it and send someone to move the connection. After 2 more days of follow ups and false promises I was told that the connection cannot be moved to my new location. They said that they would refund my payment in 30 days, which I have not received so far. My complaints are as follows: 1. Misinformation again and again leading to hassle and waste of time for me 2. Asking me to pay though they new they wouldn't be able to move the connection to my location 3. Previous billing error not rectified even after 6 months 4. Non refund of Rs 450 I am looking for a full refund and a goodwill gesture for the inconvenience caused.
