[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — Amount not dispensed from Canara Bank ATM

Today morning as my two son's are not keeping well suffering from high fever I wanted 10000.00 and HDFC ATM never has money in the city which is very bad and worst. I used Canara Bank ATM at trimulgherry center (Baggi Reddy CX) around 8:14, date: 30/03/2017 with Station ID: 08788076.
However, ATM gave only 2500.00 and 7500 was not dispensed by the ATM. I was very worried and called customer care Name: Swapana she gave complaint number 1283759 and told it will take 7 days to reslove the issue. I can't wait please for God sake can some help me and I need my money back. It's my salary. Please give my money back. If anything happens I will definitely take this to higher level and will give my peace of mind...just put yourself in my place and than imagine and then resolve the issue.

Dear Customer,

We take this opportunity to update you on your complaint regarding Rs. 7500.00 not received but debited from your HDFC Bank account for an amount of Rs. 10000.00 /- while trying to withdraw the same from a Canara Bank ATM on March 30, 2017.

As an HDFC Bank customer, when you transact at a non-HDFC Bank ATM the transaction is routed through ATM networks authorized and governed by the RBI. As per the extant RBI guidelines, disputes pertaining to non/short dispensation of cash need to be resolved by way of Charge Back, wherein the card issuing bank raises a chargeback on the acquiring bank whose ATM was used to conduct the transaction. The acquiring bank has to revert with a valid proof in the form an ATM Log indicating that the funds were successfully dispensed failing which the customer’s account will be credited within 7 working days from the date of complaint. Furthermore, as per the network operating guidelines, the ATM log is sufficient and conclusive proof of successful cash dispensation.

We would like to inform you that immediately on receipt of your complaint dated March 30, 2017 we have raised a chargeback on Canara Bank vide Reference number: 1283759. If the acquiring bank whose ATM was used to conduct the transaction does not revert with a valid proof in the form an ATM Log indicating that the funds were successfully dispensed, the amount will be credited to your account on the 7th working day from the date of complaint. Incase the acquiring bank provides a proof of the validity of the transaction the same will be forwarded to your home branch. A letter to that effect will also be sent to you and the account will not be credited. The status of the complaint will also be communicated to you through SMS on your mobile number.
