To whomsoever it may concern

I have a few concerns regarding my credit and debit card and savings account.

1 - ecs -
I hold both a savings account as well as a credit card with your bank.
However after a few weeks o[censored]sage, i received information through sms
Ervice that an auto pay deduction towards the minimum due on credit
Card payment has been debited to my savings account in favour of the
Credit card. I was surprised as i have never authorized or instructed
The bank to conduct such an auto pay debits to my credit card or
Otherwise. However at the same time even before the due date, i had
Paid the minimum due to the credit card. Thus there were two payments,
One made voluntarily by me before due date and second on due date by
Unauthorised auto debit. That on two of such occasions, i immediately
Contacted the customer service and told them that i have not
Authorized any auto debit and thus the bank reversed the said auto
Debit payments back to my account. However despite of informing the
Bank a couple of times, in the recent months since august 2015 auto
Debits have been conducted without any instructions or authorization
From me and since i have no credits in the savings account, the said
Auto debits have resulted in dishonourments and resultantly you have
Charged me for such dishonoured payments as well as other ancillary
Fees connected thereto. Besides the credit card is also being charged
Everal fees and charges for dishonored payments despite of no auto
Debit or auto pay instructions. These fines and ancillary fees have
Totalled to a large amount which i am not liable to pay in any
Circumstances as the same is result of an error from your end and not
Mine. As a matter of fact, i am being harassed by having to ask you
Time and again for cancelling such auto pay debits and still the
Ancillary fees and fines wrongly charged to me have never been
Reversed.
You are advised to rebate these fines, fees and penalty charged to me
On my savings account as well as my credit card as the same have been
A result o[censored]nauthorzed auto pay debits which were never sanctioned by
Me.Infact such an attempt on your part calls for intentional
Interference and deficient services, the attempt made by you to
Conduct unauthorized auto pay debits is in contravention to the
Agreement and to the customer - bank relationship policy and practices.


2 - statements -
To add to the above harassment, your bank has failed to sent me the
Monthly statements of the savings account as well as the credit crd
Statements. I had opted for the digital statements and hence expect
The statements to be sent to my registered email address, however i
Receive intimation of offers and schemes from your bank but never the
Tatements of my accounts. I have complaint of this issue with your
Customer desk several times and yet i have got no response from you
Not do i have been sent the statements.In the absence of my
Tatements, i have no idea as to how and where you have imposed
Charges or fines on me. Please note i have consciously checked all
Emails in my inbox as well spam and other folders but regretfully i
Have no email with statements from you. Despite of repeated requests,
Non fulfillment of this requirement is an error and shortcoming in
Ervices at your ends.

3 - collections -
That in the second quarter of this year, as there was no statement
From your end and unauthorized auto debits made from my account and
Unnecessary charges being imposed on me, my credit card bill minimum
Due requirement stood unpaid as your bank failed to co-operate with
Me. Please note prior to this my payments to the card have been
Regular and not a single month i have been in default. Thereafter some
Person claiming to be your representative approached me to pay the
Minimum due. He assured me that he would ensure that statements of my
Account are provided to me in my email however the same never happened
But he took from me an amount of rs. 2200/- towards collection. At the
Relevant time i informed the representative that the charges imposed
On me are wrong and i am willing to settle the account provided the
Bank deduct such charges and fines imposed on me wrongly by the bank.
The said representative told me that he would seek the proposal and
Inform me. However i got no proposal after that. Next month, again i
Got no statement from you and again you made an unauthorized auto pay
Debit to my savings account and after that you issued me a legal
Notice for dishonoring an ecs payment. Again some new person came to
Me and asked me to pay rs. 4000/- towards the minimum due stating that
He will get proposal but i will have to pay this minimum due. I placed
My trust on your representatives and waited for a proposal. However in
The mean time you have been conducting unauthorized auto debits,
Charging me wrongly and adding fine, fee and interest and penalty to
Me on both account arbitrarily. These payments are not legally payable
By me and these are a result of the error and foulplay of the
Collections team of the bank. You are advised to act immediately on
This.

4. Privacy of account holder:

Your representatives approach my family and are readily providing any
Body information of my accounts and dues without any authorization
From me, this is illegal practice as per the banking regulations.
Merely for the purpose of creating pressure on the account holder, who
By the way is willing to settle but your collection agents dont seem
To willing to do the same for reasons best known to them, are using
The name of the bank and harassing and threatening me and my family
Member including the women of my house. This harassment is illegal
Practice and banned by the rbi. Moreover, in a bid to extract
Collection and fulfill some internal target, these agents are sharing
My account data and details of my transactions and such other details
With any body they meet at my doorstop without authorization from me.
Where as you claim to protect data and privacy of an account holder
From any person and this is a breach at your instance.


Your agents/advisors/managers have no respect while speaking and do
Not understand simple questions.
I have had agents visiting my residence and speaking to my
Father/mother/sister in an inappropriate language questioning my
Tatus and ability to pay or take a credit card. The tone of voice
Used and the choice of words is unacceptable especially when used for
Women which in turn is harrassment.
Please note and be advised that your agents have no authority to speak
To any one in filthy and untoward language and you are vicariously
Responsible for such harassment and verbal abuse. If these persons use
Your name and identity cards issued by your bank, it is your implied
Duty to ensure that these representatives are well mannered and stay
In bounds. They have no right or locus to question my capability of
Holding a credit card or using the same as i please. If the same
Continues, i will be constrained to lodge a police complaint against
Uch representatives as well as impleading you therein for allowing
Uch illegal practices. I will also be constrained to write to the
R. B. I. With respect to you employing people who practice against
Banking practices.

I on many instances have asked your agents who visit me for payments
To obtain and provide me with a proposal for the settlement however
None of them have ever got back to me but they always want to insist
On collection minimum due. Due to their inaction, i do not stand to
Bear the burden of their delay. As such your charges and fines have
Been adding on since last few months despite of my request to you
Representatives for settlement.

I received a call from (+[protected] dt. 11/06/2015 somewhere
Around noon from your collection team and the person i spoke too had
Terrible attitude and a horrible manner of speech. He has disrespected
Me for which i am going to take legal action. Your agent insisted on
Me giving the phone to whoever was talking in the background and when
I handed over the call to my sister, he spoke to her with complete
Disrespect and questioned that if he has no ability to pay then why
Did he use the card. Let me tell you, if i had the slightest idea of
The kind of complete disregard your bank holds fro a customer and the
Way you are quick to adopt of illegal practices against your customer
And the fact that for few thousand of collections, your agents will
Give data of the customer to any body, i would have refrained from
Obtaining your card or account. Your agent has complete disregard for
Manners, language and decency and i believe the same is as you have
Authorized them to talk as they like.

Infact, the illegal practice followed by your bank is very strategic;
You do not issue me statements, thus i cannot verify your charges,
Then you make unauthorized auto debit and then issue notices; then you
Appoint indecent and antisocial element like person to make
Collections who fake amounts due where as you via your customer desk
Inform me that the total due is much lesser than as claimed by the
Agent. Your agent claims i have a total due of rs. 69, 800/- whereas
Your own customer desk informed me that the amount due is rs. 66, 000/-
You are requested to explain to me what is this difference suggests?
It seems you let agents make up imaginary amounts to extort from
Customers.

In addition to my above said grievances, which i seek immediate
Response and redressal, i further inform you officially that i am
Willing to proceed for a settlement with your bank as i do not wish to
Hold this account or credit card any longer and thus you are requested
To provide me with a proposal for the same via email or official
Communication through a representative. You are also requested to send
Me statements of both my savings account and my credit card at the
Earliest to help ascertain the charges levied by you.

Please note that i will not communicate with any one who claims to be
Third party collection agent or any person who does not have the basic
Decency to talk and communicate.

That despite my efforts, your customer helpline could not provide me
With email addresses of the other departments who may be concerned
With my grievances enlisted above, thus you are requested to kindly do
The needful in communicating my grievances to any additional
Departmemt or concerned persons who may be well equipped to address my
Grievance.


Post this email, i get a rather hilarious response from the customerservices. [protected]@hdfcbank.com asking me to just simply make a payment towards my credit card and nothing else, no empathy, no call or no explanation at all which is pathetic customer service.
