Hi.
My name is Vaiishnavi and I had recently applied for a car loan with HDFC.
The agent who collected my papers specifically asked for my Airtel postpaid bill for residence proof even after me having other valid government documents for the same.
Since he persisted, I went into a store to get my bill which had not been updated of my new address for over eight months after I had applied for an address change.
Anyway, some guy at the store changed it and still didn't update my records. HDFC then sent Anil from ric department who delayed giving me information for two days before he showed up at my residence to argue about this. All my hopes of rationalizing were for none. I was asked to write a letter and told that I'll not get a loan from their bank and additionally pay 12 thousand rupees to the bank for fraudulence.
Today I get a call again from Sumit ric asking me the same thing again and if I'd be okay to go with an executive to the store to clear the misunderstanding.
Meanwhile I had again written a complaint mail to Airtel and they rectified their mistake in a heartbeat.
This continuously ridiculous claims by the bank even after I have submitted every paperwork that could be crosschecked, is leaving me speechless.
And why should I pay the bank any money if it is a CIBIL issue in the first place?
Can someone tell me what's going on?
