HDFC Bank — negative balance without timely intimation or warning calls. | |||
HDFC was my current bank account during my internship period in my first company on January 2017. Now I use Axis bank. On transferring some money to HDFC recently, I lost 2700 rupees. On inquiry, I found that this was due to negative balance in savings account due to non-maintenance of minimum balance which is 10, 000 rupees. Currently I have -9451 rupees as my negative balance. I was also planning to take loan from HDFC, which is not possible because of this. There was no timely warning calls to inform the same. I do not wish to pay this huge amount because I was not informed properly by HDFC. I would have closed the account earlier, had I known this would happen. I am really disappointed in their service and customer relations. I would like HDFC to waive off this amount so that I will maintain the minimum balance henceforth and take loan, or close this account, whichever is convenient.
