[Resolved] HDFC Bank — regarding - pre closure of personal loan - excess ecs recovery of rs 9621 / - | |||
Sir I availed a personal loan (Loan no:[protected] from hdfc, trivandrum branch during 2013. Thereafter i got transferred to chennai and working since 2017. Due to my retirement (31/05/2018) i want to make it as a pre closure. I contacted mr. Ganesh, trivandrum, hdfc bank (Mob: [protected]) who had coordinated the pre closure issue. He informed me that pre closure has been taken into consideration of the balance is at the close of may 2018. Accordingly i had been asked to send a cheque for rs 65, 250/-. Accordingly i had forwarded the cheque for rs 65, 250 /- to trivandrum on[protected] through professional courier for the closure and the same also got cleared. In the meantime i received a message in the month of may 2018 through my mobile that the regular ecs amount emi for june 2018 for rs 9, 621/- to be honoured. When i informed the message mr ganesh and mr ashok rasheet (Mobile [protected], manager hdfc) to stop the ecs recovery for june 2018. They informed me since the clearance has been considered with reference to the balance of may 2018 whatever the recovery made after may 2018 will be refunded as soon as possible. As per the message ecs recovery of rs 9, 621/- was deducted on[protected]. It showed that they have not taken any steps to stop the recovery. When i informed the excess recovery of rs.9621 made in june 18 to mr ganesh and mr rasheed they had told that the matter has been referred to mumbai for refund. When i asked the reference number to them, they have told that it is an internal matter and the hdfc reference number could not be shared. My premature loan amount rs.65, 250 was processed with respect to the outstanding balance of may 2018. Therefore the ecs recovery rs.9, 621 made is june 2018 is an excess recovery. I was constantly approaching those two people. But nothing has been materialised. Therefore i request that the excess of rs. 9, 621 /- to be refunded as soon as possible. I am surprised to see that refund of a closed loan amount is kept unanswered from an esteemed bank like m/s hdfc. I hope my grievance will be addressed through this mail and necessary action will be taken on the concerned employees so that no other customer suffers in mental stress like me. If necessary refund is not being taken i will forward this issue to m/s rbi greivance cell to trace all my telephone conversations with these two employees and prove that they have mislead in this preclosure loan matter to a senior citizen like me.
