Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter to bring to your notice that I wish to cancel my life insurance policy with a Policy number 18479922, in the name of Mr. G CHANDRA SEKHAR. I need to cancel this policy due to below mentioned reasons:

Mr. Nirvan Nandy (executive) came to my home last year(2016) in the month of May and explained me about the HDFC life policy (Life Super Income Plan), Mr. Nirvan Nandy (his contact number:+91-[protected]) gave me all false commitments about the policy and convinced me to take the policy. Two major false commitments were:

1. First year i have to pay the full amount of 1, 03, 630Rs/- and and from next year i can pay the policy premium in 12 equal installments (EMI) i.e. Eight thousand and some change amount including service tax.

2. Another false commitment was, when i asked him in case if next year i am not in a position to pay the premium will i get back my money by closing the policy? Mr. Nandy told me yes sir you can anytime cancel your policy in between and get your Principal amount back but you will not receive the interest/bonus from it.

In the same month of May 2016 i paid a full amount of Rs.1, 03, 630/- towards my policy and later on 9th April 2017 i was getting message from HDFC Life saying your premium amount of Rs.1, 01, 890 is due by 25th May 2017. I called several times to Mr.Nandy but he didn't respond to my calls, and i send the same message from HDFC Life to Mr.Nandy asking for the clarification that why i am receiving this message as you said next year the amount will be in 12 equal installments. he said He is out of station and he will go to office and come back to me, but even after 3 to 4 days he didn't reply me back and when ever i use to call him he was not responding to me and meanwhile i was regularly getting calls from HDFC life asking the premium amount, so i called to customer care and raise a complaint saying the executive has cheated me with his false commitment, customer care representative gave me a complaint reference number:[protected]. Later one day i spoke to Mr.Nandy regarding this and he was very rude to me so i said in this case i am going to log a legal complaint against HDFC Life and i have all the call recordings and messages from the executive. Then, his Manager Mr. Vishvanath Rao ( His contact number: [protected]) called me and convinced me that the mistake is from our side so we will rectify this by making it to Monthly EMI option and you will be not be liable to pay any extra charges.

Mr.Vishvanath Rao send his person Mr.Rupesh to my resident and he took necessary signature for Monthly EMI option and did the other formalities. Few days later again i was getting the same message from HDFC Life asking for
premium amount of Rs.1, 01, 890. I called Mr. Vishvanath Rao multiple times for asking why i am getting the same message again? He said the process is going on and this is a auto system generated message. Mr. Vishvnath Rao also collected a blank cheque from me saying i don't know the exact amount as of now so you can give me a blank cheque in the name of HDFC life with policy number, which i gave me him. On receiving frquent message from HDFC Life about premium amount of Rs.1, 01, 890 i called several times to Mr.Vishvanath Rao but he never responded me and giving excuse by message saying he is busy. I got doubt that both Mr.Visvanath and Nirvan Nandy are playing with me and now avoiding me, so i immediately stopped the payment of cheque. And when i called his from different number he picked my call and said sir i was not avoiding you and your process is in Progress after which he never respond to my any calls and messages. Once again he send his person and took my signature on EMI specimen form and collected another cheque and said this time it will be surely done. I was still getting messages from HDFC Life regarding premium amount of Rs.1, 01, 890 so again i tried to call and text Mr.Nandy and Mr.Vishvnath many times but failed to get any response from both of them. Both of them knows very well the condition of mine as My Wife is pregnant with 9th month running and i have to go with hell lot of medical expenses and delivery is expected soon, i begged a lot to cancel the policy and return my money without interest as committed, later i was somehow managed to pay the monthly installment of Rs.8, 951/- and handed over the cheque to Mr.Vishvanath Rao, but that is also not processed yet and still i am getting the message from HDFC Life to pay the premium amount of Rs.1, 01, 890. When today i got a call from Remainder department and i spoke to senior person he asked me to raise complaint on [protected]@hdfclife.com.

I would be thankful to you if you send me a written confirmation that my request has been registered and the cancellation procedures are under your process. Once the policy is cancelled, you are kindly requested to refund the unused portion of my policy premium as i have medical emergency at my home and terminate all the monthly payments and premiums.

I hope that I will be informed soon about the cancellation of my policy number 18479922. I can request you to do the needful to the earliest or at the last in worst condition i have to go for the legal action.

Note: I have all the call records, mails and messages from Mr.Vishvnath Rao (Manager) and Mr. Nirvan Nandy (Executive). These two people have cheated me with false commitment and to till date they have not updated or processed Monthly EMI into the system nor they have put for cancellation of policy and because of which i am now suffering with huge loss in lakhs in my critical medical condition.

Note: When ever i call from other number to Mr.Vishvnath and Mr. Nirvan asking to come and collect the premium amount cheque, They are intentionally not coming so that my Rs.1, 03, 630/- amount will not be returned and they never picks up my calls.
