Out of all the commerce websites that I got scammed, headphonezone.in is the one I hate the most. Back in 2016 when this company was still in its infancy, I bought a "Skullcandy smokin buds 2" earphones. As I had used these in the past, I am quite familiar with Skullcandy products. So when I unboxed the product, I immediately knew it was a fake product and I had proofs in images to compare. I CONTACTed their CUSTOMER support and I provided them with images that the product was a fake and even the pictures on their website didn't match the product. To which they replied with something along the line of: "They have changed the design and it is the new version". My response was that if it is the updated version then why does it feel cheap? The volume buttons looked like someone got lazy to even copy that of the original product and felt like it would crush just by pinching it with decent amount of pressure. The quality was just downright horrible and very rough around the edges. I can't remember other reasons but it was enough for me to get a refund or a replacement. But they kept insisting that the product is authentic and took ages to reply only to get transferred to another executive and the whole conversation repeats. Little did I know that their CUSTOMER support for a day ends sometime around the sunset(can't seem to remember). So one of their CUSTOMER executive disconnected in the middle of our chat. I waited for them to reply but at this point I got so frustrated and sent "thieves" in the chat and I left it there. All I wanted was a replacement if not a refund. But next early morning they called me like their ### was on fire and started picking on me for calling them "thieves" to which I apologized as I didn't know their time was up but at least they could have informed me about it before disconnecting and waste my time but I completely owned my mistake then. To which that person responded like he will no longer assist me and transfer my case to his senior like it was the first time my case was being transferred. Right after he hung up, his so called senior called me, started yelling at me, told me that they will not replace or refund, and disconnected the call. I wrote a negative review on their product website but it seems like they never published it or removed it. The earphone stopped working within couple of months just as I expected. This is why it is so deceiving to rely on third party companies like headphonezone.in who are literally robbing their CUSTOMERs by portraying themselves as "audiophiles" just because they did some research on the internet and got well versed about it. My advice will be to stay with e-commerce sites like Amazon, Flipkart, etc. where they have a fair exchange policies and only invest from independent companies if they are only selling their own products since they control their product quality and always be ready to receive a B-stock or counterfeit products and return it under warranty. Also don't buy Skullcandy products as their quality has gone downhill. Was this information helpful? |
