Hero Motocorp — destini 125cc engine problems

This is with reference to a new hero destini vehicle that i have purchased from dealwel showroom, asif nagar.

I purchased this vehicle on 26th dec 2018 on my child, mohammed ikhlaas hussain, name.
Pl find required documentation attached above as reference.

The purpose of purchasing new vehicle was to have a safe and peaceful drive for at least 3-4 years.

However, it turned out to be a nightmare for me and my child since we purchased this vehicle.

Here is a brief description of the problems that we are facing since purchasing this vehicle.

Immediately after the delivery of the vehicle on 26th dec, even before reaching home, we found that the electronic display stopped working.
We brought the vehicle back to showroom the next day and the technicians associated with service center connected to showroom fixed the problem saying that there was a loose connection in electric wires.

After that we found several other issues in this vehicle as we started using it:

1. Self-start button stopped functioning
2. 10-15 min of manual kicks to start vehicle
3. Vehicle turns off automatically during running condition
4. Electronic display is highly unstable and unpredictable
5. Extremely unexpected behaviour while on the drive

Finally i took the vehicle back to showroom on 26th jan 2019 reporting all the above listed issues.
Again, service center manager mr. Mohiuddin took up the case and handed over the vehicle to my child within 2 hours informing him that all the issues have been fixed and we could simply relax and enjoy the drive.

Soon after getting vehicle from service center, my child went to a nearby hp petrol station to refill petrol and just before refill he noticed smoke coming out of the vehicle from front side. The petrol station attendant also noticed the same and asked my child to immediately take the vehicle away from the station premises due to potential risk of getting fire.

Unfortunately, the vehicle could not be started and my child had to manually push the vehicle back to service center.

Then mr. Mohiuddin again took the vehicle and told us to relax and wait until he figures out the root cause of the problem and fix it permanently.

He kept vehicle with him for a week and called me on saturday, 2nd feb 2019, to come and collect the vehicle.

He kept on giving wrong promises & assurances throughout this painful time that he would take entire responsibility and provide me a best solution to get the vehicle in decent condition with all the issues fixed.

After receiving the vehicle on 2nd feb 2019, i noticed that the condition of the vehicle is so pathetic that it was nearly comparable to a 5 years old vehicle with huge noise & vibrations throughout my test drive.

I have immediately handed over the vehicle to showroom and informed them that it is unimaginable to have a new vehicle in such a dire condition and asked them for either replacement of the vehicle or return the amount that i paid including compensation for the pain, fear and mental disturbance caused since the vehicle is purchased.

However, there is no common sense either in showroom staff or service center staff and they keep arguing with me that there is no problem in the vehicle and i should take it back. I don’t have any more time and energy to convince them that there is something seriously wrong in this vehicle and i can’t take the risk of putting my child’s life in danger due to this kind of highly turbulent and volatile condition of this vehicle.

In this regard, i would like to escalate this problem to you with a strong hope that you would help and resolve the issue by either:

• replace the vehicle with a decent & stable condition vehicle from dealwel head office/showroom
• return the amount that i have paid
