Honda 2 Wheelers India — intentional harassment by non-servicing

Subject: negligence in proper servicing of my motorcycle, honda cb trigger 150 cc by the honda service centre opposite rajarajeshwari nagar arch, mysore road, bangalore and also ill-behaviour by manjunath and other person.

I am k. S. Ravikumar, software engineer by profession booked a cb trigger on[protected] and received the motorcycle on[protected]. My motorcycle registration number is ka05 jb 4908. I have faced some serious problems dealing with the service team at “silicon honda”, rv road, bangalore and “silicon honda”, opposite rajarajeshwari nagar, bangalore. The chronologies of the events are as follows:-
1. I lodged a serious complaint with respect to problem with the gear shifting back in 2013 when the motorcycle was brand new. The gear automatically shifted either from neutral to first gear or vice versa, and from first gear to second gear or vice versa. This is extremely serious problem because, while riding the motorcycle, gear shifting would happen automatically from first gear to neutral. This is a very serious problem because if i had just shifted the gear from neutral to first gear and the bike is on the moving and there is a fast moving heavy vehicle just behind me and if the gear automatically shifted from first gear to neutral, the motorcycle would slow down drastically and i would be knocked off by the heavy vehicle behind me which could prove fatal. There are several instances where the motorcycle would stop abruptly in the middle of the road. I was almost hit by a bmtc (Bangalore metropolitan transport corporation) on several occasions. So i orally complaint to the then service manager at silicon honda, r. V road, bangalore, but to no avail. Therefore, i visited the dealer mr. S. M. Baliga’s office and complained regarding the same. Mr. Baliga was quite helpful in inquiring about the same and they delivered by motorcycle in few hours’ time completely rectified. The above mentioned incidents are extremely serious in nature as the very reason the work manager of the silicon honda service team mr. Om prakash’s reluctance in fixing my motorcycle’s gear box problem could prove fatal.

2. With reference to the above subject, i would like to bring to your attention that i have been servicing my motorcycle from the honda service centre opposite rajarajeshwari nagar arch, mysore road, bangalore since 2015. Since then, there were deficiencies in servicing my motorcycle on several instances and i have complained about the same to narayanaswamy, the then manager, honda service centre opposite rajarajeshwari nagar arch, mysore road and narayanaswamy would immediately rectify the anomalies and defects. But a person by name manjunath at a lower cadre would create these problems which narayana swamy rectified. But in the recent times, no proper servicing is being done to my motorcycle. The same manjunath is being elevated to service manager’s position presently and he behaves very arrogantly and does not work in same spirit as honda company, a highly esteemed company works.

3. I delivered my motorcycle for servicing on 19.09.2018 and also paid an amount of rs. 1, 489 on 20.09.2018, but i am totally disappointed, dissatisfied and frustrated with the service provided by the honda servicing centre. I complained about the mileage of the motorcycle which has come down drastically and also that there is problem while shifting gears. Balu, one of the personnel at the honda servicing centre, opposite rajarajeshwari nagar arch, mysore road, bangalore listened to my problems and received my motorcycle for servicing on 19.09.2018. Instead of solving the problems in my motorcycle, an additional problem was added after delivering my motorcycle on 20.09.2018. Now my motorcycle has 3 problems gear shifting problem, mileage problem and oil leakage problem. There has been oil leakage since 20.09.2018 which pictures i have sent to ravikumar, manager at honda, r. V road, jayanagar, bangalore through whatsapp application from my mobile. I complained about the additional problem of oil leakage to manjunath and balu at honda service centre opposite rajarajeshwari nagar arch, mysore road, bangalore. Manjunath started confusing me by telling me that some important and costly part of my motorcycle has been damaged and also enquired “if i have opted for extended warranty of 5 years”. Manjunath has not only been extracting money by giving silly reasons, he also has been confusing and misleading me. Since, i have opted for the extended warranty of 5 years at the time of purchasing the motorcycle in 2013, i informed him so. Then, he started to confuse me that i will have to pay extra for the removal of the self-induced oil leakage problem. He started to give a idli-sambar example, at which point balu informed manjunath not to speak to me or clarify my doubts. Manjunath has been making serious attempts to fool me as a customer of honda and such act of his is very much intentional.

4. Manjunath has been behaving in such a manner for the past 2-3 years and always hints me very obliquely that he has police friends. I have been prosecuting certain policeman who have worked at rajarajeshwari nagar police station in 2013 for illegal detention, criminal conspiracy and criminal intimidation among others and also a traffic police sub-inspector from the k. R. Puram police station for other cognizable criminal offences. If it is found that manjunath has been acting at the instance of some corrupt policeman, i reserve the right to prosecute him for criminal conspiracy among other criminal offences. I also reserve a right to file a complaint before the consumer redressal forum at bangalore for “deficiency” in service under the consumer protection act. Manjunath has not only caused severe inconvenience, waste of time and money, but also mental harassment among others. People like manjunath are spoiling the name of a good and reputed company like honda.

5. With regards to this complaint, i delivered my motorcycle on 12.10.2018 to rectify all the aforementioned problems to ravikumar, manager at honda, r. V road, jayanagar, bangalore. Today i. E. 15.10.2018, i received my motorcycle, and ravikumar told me that all the problems have been solved. But, ravikumar refused to accept my written complaint, he used abusive words and further has not been picking my phone calls. Ravikumar is hand-in-glove with manjunath.

6. Therefore, i request a fair inquiry into the above complaint against manjunath and ravikumar for suitable and appropriate action, in the interest of justice.
