[Resolved] Hypercity — Wrong billing - third time | |||||
I made purchases worth 5K on 15th of January from Hypercity, Bangalore (Near Kundalhalli Gate, ITPL Road) which had groceries, Fruits & Vegetables. After coming home when I was glancing at the bill, I realized that I was charged thrice for same item 2, 19 & 90 Bunches of Coriander against a purchase of 2 units only. This resulted in excess charging of INR654/-. I called up the toll free number where I was told that I need to go back to store to get refund. I had to go back to store and I was refunded the amount, the issue here is: 1. This is third time it is happening the same way at the same store. 2. Who will compensate me for travelling 19 KMs on my Car (Extra trip to & fro) to the store and double parking paid. 3. The store in charge said, we shall train the people better. My question is that what is the compensation for the customer against harassment, time wasted, travel time besides petrol and parking. And since this is happening third time, I am tempted to lodge a case against Hypercity in Consumer Court unless I am convinced otherwise. I and my wife have decided and we are going to share details in our circle about the mall and its mis-deeds, to urge people either to desist from Hypercity or check the bills very carefully, for the simple reason that you may not realize that you might have been fleeced in past without knowing it.
