[Resolved] Hyundai Motor India — Break down of HYUNDAI VERNA KA-02 ME 1030 | |||
Dear Sir, I am the owner of Hyundai Verna bearing KA-02 ME 1030 at Bangalore and I am the Loyal customer of your company since 2004-05. Earlier I was owning Hyundai Getz bearing KA02 ME 2756 which was brought from Trident Motors and was very happy with the refinement and performance of the vehicle. This aspect made me to buy a sedan from Hyundai and Hyundai Verna was booked in the year 2009 December and the vehicle was delivered in the month of January, 2010. Thereafter the performance of the vehicle was very good and have been serviced as per the norms that has been recommended by Hyundai. This being the case, on July 3rd 2014, while I was driving down from Bangalore to my native Hassan, we took a stop for refreshment at Hotel Swathi, near Kunigal. When the vehicle was stopped, we started feeling a burning smell from the car and when the bonnet was opened, there was a enormous cloud of smoke.Thereafter the vehicle never started.I immediately got in touch with the trident motors and instructed me to check the coolant. I was really shocked that the coolant was EMPTY! I was told that the vehicle had to be towed down. The vehicle was towed down and next day I was informed that the head of the engine has to be removed and the total cost could come around 50 to 60, 000/-. However they said that the actual price can be estimated only when they inspect the engine. Pursuant to, a check up was done and we were told that the motor of the engine fan was burnt because of short of wires. I was quite shocked and surprised as to how could this Happen???? The answer given by the trident service was that it could have been because of rats or any other reason. I am quite surprised about the insulation of wires if this is a fact. Also, in the month of January 2014, my vehicle's break shoe had a problem and I got it checked at hassan Advaith motors when i was driving down to my native. When the service people checked the coolant, they were shocked that the coolant was so less and warned us that engine could be seized. They added water and when i returned to Bangalore i also inform Trident service centre about this fact. At present the vehicle has been repaired and i am told that the estimation cost is Rs 1, 85, 000/-!!! (One Lakh Eighty Five Thousand) for no fault of mine. I was also forced to issue a cheque for Rs 35, 000/- and until then the head of the engine will not be removed. When Hyundai Knows that engine fan is an important part for the functioning of the engine, should not the wires be insulated in norms and if any there is a short circuit should not there be an adequate warning immediately. Or is it fault on the service centre which has not serviced the vehicle properly?. Everytime I have followed the time schedule and have spent Rs 8 to 12, 000/- or more in every service. With these type of malfunction, what is the risk involved while driving in an highway?... The service centre also states this can happen to any new vehicle!!! If so, what is the use by paying 9 to 12 lakhs and buying cars from Hyundai. This is nothing but deficiency of service and putting people's life into risk. Please initiate action immediately.
