My Hyundai EON can caught fire in the bonnet when I turned the ignition and whole engine, wires, radiator everything burnt if few mins before I could manage to stop catching fire completely. Reason for the fire is rat bite on petrol tube and electrical wires. I had to tow my car 2 times before for rat bites on petrol but this time rat bit both petrol pipe and electric wire and when I rturned on ignition it caught fire. Entire car had to be scrapped.

Yes, faced the same issue with Hyundai venue. Petrol is splashing like a fountain from the fuel pipe. The Pipe seems to be very week and is easily damaged with a simple rat bite. Infact the car had to be towed to the service center. The guy who towed the car also mentioned it as a major issue with Hyundai and Kia Cars, and he gets daily complaints for the same issue.
Paying 13-14lakhs for the car and having such simple but important things not being taken care by Hyundai gives me lot of apprehension regarding Hyundai Cars. I have had Maruti Cars for many years and have never faced such issues.
Need urgent attention to this.
