ICICI Bank — [protected] Account Frozen without a reason
I applied for a NRE and NRO account with ICICI Bank in July, after a lot of hassle they opened it around September, only to freeze it in October. That, too, without any reason.
Since 23-Oct I am sending them email and calling the relationship officer, Akansha Dahiwale, of the Andheri (W), Mumbai, branch, but they haven't been able to give me any reason as to why my account has been frozen. Nor have they un-freezed it yet.
I've tried writing to all the emails that I could find for ICICI, but in vain. I've even written to the nodal officer, Mr. Vinayak More, last week, but he has also not responded yet.
I've requested them to give my money that is there in the account and just close the account, but they are not letti g me do that either.
I called their UK office multiple times, but they tell me that they will call me back but nobody ever calls me back.
It's is really super frustrating to not be able to access one's own hard earned money and not receive any response from these people. Can we really consider our money safe with these banks?
