[Resolved] ICICI Bank — Account blocked/frozen without intimation

I have been an icici account holder since last 11 years and have been using it as a salary account since then. Today, when i tried doing an online transfer transaction, it is giving me an error that the account frozen/blocked. Bank has not given any reasons for it either. There was no communication in this regard. Today being a bank holiday, nothing can be done and i am left with no option but to wait for tomorrow and visit the nearest branch tomorrow morning first thing. This is very unprofessional on behalf of the bank and i will have to bear monetory loss because of not being able to transfer amount today itself.
Now i am seriously thinking of changing my salary account to some other bank which is professional and would also suggest others not to use such an unprofessional bank.

I had been using ICICI bank for about 12 years now. I am facing the same issue. This is ridiculous with ICICI bank. They have blocked or frozen my account without any intimation and I am facing issues in making my payments. I have my parents travel abroad in couple of days and have to make payments before they do. This unprofessional bank has blocked my account and I stay abroad!!!
Tried calling customer care and no response.

Hi icici bank,

Same thing happened to me.my account is blocked and frozen without any message or warning intimation from bank.

I had this account since 4•6 years.had to make and urgent transfer but am not able to.

Should i consider changing the bank??

Hi, Same as happened with me . I have been with ICICI bank right from the start of my career which is 2004. I can see now that my account is frozen / blocked. This has caused a lot of inconvenience for me

Hi

Sir,
I am ramana from Hyderabad .
I used the minimum balance amount personal reasons . So I can't maintain the minimum balance for some mounths in case is there any chance to maintain my account with zero balance .
If that not possible so please kindly tell me how to close my account without any charges to pay.

I open a current account on Feb 3 2021 and tody is 20th March 2021
My account is freeze due to my physical documents are not received by the head office
I don't know what my RM is doing and not mailing them
Due to some unprofessional lazy icici bank employ there is a suffering for 10 to 15 family's for which I had to pay their daily wages on this weekend
Without any concerns or information on issue for which Iam not responsible my account got frozen shame on icici
If rightfully according actions to be taken then it should be that basted RM to be punished
