ICICI Bank — Amazon pay icici bank credit card reward points on hold

Hi Concerned Team,

As per the captioned subject I wish to say that being an old & loyal customer of icici Bank i use my card on regular basis.

In the same context I did some shopping for my relatives during last sale through my amazon icici Bank credit card since the reward system is quite lucrative considering 5% discount on whatever spending from amazon as a prime member but instead they put the spending under suspicious transaction calling it to used for commercial purpose which is not the case as it was for my relatives. Now in the same context around 15015 reward points are on hold for being a loyal customer of icici Bank and using their card throughout. I could have used other bank credit card that i hold but i sticked to ICICI. Maybe that was my biggest mistake to utilise the card during sale.

The customer service executive told me that if reward points go over 10000 it will be on hold for investigation. That shouldn't be the case since the card has been given us for shopping purpose only and if we shop more it's good for the bank ultimately. The bank charge such high ROI in delay of payments but when it comes to releasing the reward points it's been on hold. I've never been late in paying my credit card dues, i always did it well before time still I have to face such trauma and inconvenience that I could never expect with such a enormous pvt sector bank, this loyalty not only remains till savings account or having a credit card but l also hold a good number of shares of ICICI Bank Ltd on NSE. Even have a term insurance with ICICI PRU and a PPF account with the bank.

The bank should not deny the reward points and I request the concerned team to pls acknowledge my request and process my reward points at the earliest, i would be thankful to them and will take care of the situation and usage from next time onwards.
By blocking or keep the reward points on hold, the bank will only losing a trust worthy and loyal customer.

Hope my problem gets resolved at the earliest.
