I have regd a grievance DEABD/E/2020/29668 on pgportal.gov.in as ICICI BANK LTD MAROL MAROSHI BRANCH ANDHERI EAST MUMBAI 59 has partially blocked my account and is forcing us to visit the branch with kyc docs and snaps already submitted by us.

I have a joint bank account XXXXXXXX3525 with my mother
(senior citizen) & sister in ICICI bank, marol MAROSHI branch. I have rec'd a warning kyc updation msg in Imobile asking to visit branch with the kyc docs & snaps (Screenshot attached) for periodic kyc as per RBI directives even though all kyc docs and snaps of all acc holders we're submitted earlier.The msg implies that ur account would be blocked after two skips. During this pandemic, they r forcing us to visit branch. I request the concerned person to remove the partial blockage so that we can use the account without any hindrances.
I[censored] can't fulfill my request, then pls send a bank employee at my address for account closing formalities

My friends and relatives have bank account in ICICI and other Banks but they have not rec'd any requests for kyc which has been done onceby them. No response from ICICI or the block removal by them.

I am not able to view the email.what more details u want. I have clearly stated that the account has been blocked illegally even though the kyc docs and snaps of all account holders has been updated. I have sent my regd email address thru dm on Twitter.ur email address is not visible as it is displayed as [protected]@icicbank.com. pls may I know what is uid. Is it the account number

Have sent an email to ur quality officer naveen.[protected]@icicibank.com with the bank account number and the case details for speedy resolution by the removal of the illegal block on my account.

Request you to close the account as I am fed up o[censored]r pestering calls since 23 July. Today the same person called up and is asking my concern which had been told on day one itself. Pls send a person with the account closing form at my residence.

Pls remove the illegal block on my account. Why r ur officials pestering me by calling and asking me the case details which I have already given to them as well as sent an email with the account number and case details to Naveen oswal quality officer. I will forward the same email to customer.[protected]@icicibank.com.pls resolve and remove the block. Why r u harassing and pestering by calling again and doing nothing

Status of my grievance as how much more time do u need to remove the block from my account as ur exec confirmed that the kyc docs and snaps of all account holders are available on ur system. So, why the delay?

Letter frm quality dept doesn't mention specific complaint reason that imobile app has been illegally blocked & only two skips provided for usage. No timeline for resolution. No apology. Letter tone seems to be arrogant. Mistake or error or deliberately blocked? Why are we being subjected to this harassment and mental torture even after we have submitted kyc docs and snaps of all account holders by visiting the branch personally.

Rec'd an email where it has been mentioned that as per RBI directives, account holders have to periodically update the kyc details. I would ask you that my friends and relatives have submitted their kyc details only once with ICICI bank but they have not been asked to periodically update the kyc details. Pls could u provide the RBI directive where it is quoted that it is mandatory for account holders to periodically update their kyc details for their bank account with their respective banks.

I logged into my internet banking for periodic kyc updation as my account was partially blocked citing re kyc unavailability. However, they are forcing my senior citizen mom and joint account holders to visit the branch as they have removed the CONTINUE tab for updating online kyc from my internet banking account. During this pandemic, government is requesting senior citizens and other people to stay at home. ICICI has purposely removed the continue tab to force my senior citizen mom and joint holders to visit the branch and update kyc which is Harassment and mental torture by ICICI BANK

I rec'd and email from ur customer service person, Mr Kishore to update kyc via online by logging in to ICICI Bank.com/nri. I have emailed him that I hold a normal savings account and not an NRI account. So, how could I login with my normal savings account user id in the NRI login.
My relative has recently updated her online kyc thru internet banking by clicking on the continue button which was available on the landing page after login to internet banking.
The kyc details of my relative have been accepted and uploaded by ur bank.Soo why is the continue button removed or disabled from my landing page. if my relative can upload her online kyc via normal savings bank account internet login so why am I not being given the privilege even though I am a senior citizen and a ddiabetuc. I request you to enable or make the continue button available on the landing page to enable me to update online kyc

The icici csr is not registering a complaint or an store for the kyc issue.i send the case details as level 1 complaint but they have not felt the need to issue a Sr or a complaint number till date.

An ICICI bank.employee called me and was giving absurd reasons that the continue tab is not visible to u since there r 3 account holders. It would have been available if the account would have a single holder. Another reason was that u have used the skip option, hence the continue tab has been disabled.

The grievance was regd on 19 june2020 on pgportalgov.giv.in and it was forwarded by the RBI officer to Mr Naveen Oswal, Chief quality on the 20 of June 2020 with a comment that review and resolve the customer's grievance within the specified timeline. He also instructed ICICI officer to list his findings and resolution.
However, the comment by the RBI officer has been removed or deleted from pgportalgov
It's been a month since the complaint registration but there has been no input from Mr Naveen oswal. I, the customer is only commenting with the issues and no one from ICICI bank has given a status abt the complaint on this site as I assume that they feel that this tenured customer is not important. So they r harassing us

I have rec'd an email communication from Ms, .Madhuri in which she has conveyed that a bank official had contacted me asking me to submit kyc by visiting the branch or an official would come to my house for kyc doc which I have denied as I do not want my family members to visit branch not any official visiting my houseduring this pandemic.
My request to enable the online kyc continue tab and the request to email the kyc docs of the account holders from my regd email I'd to the official email I'd of the officer has fallen on deaf ears. In addition, the internal ombudsman of the bank has passed a judgement stating that the bank is correct in asking the lady above 60 and other account holders to visit branch or the official to visit home but the online kyc continue tab would not be enabled.hence, .I understand that u make the account inoperative as I cant risk the health of my family members by asking them to visit branch or allowing an official in my house who may be covid positivr

I do not want my mom who is 60 years of age to visit the branch due to this pandemic. I am ready to submit the kyc via ur internet banking tab which has been disabled for my account for reasons best known to you. As per ur exec, he was saying that the continue tab for online kyc is not visible since u clicked on the skip tab. Another reason was that since this is a joint account, u will not be able to update online kyc if it is for 3 persons.

Other multinational banks have provided the feature of online kyc updation for joint account holders

I[censored] could enable the continue tab for online kyc, then I could update the kyc for all account holders.

If not, then it is up to the bank officials to decide whether they wanna to make the account inoperative or not as I can't risk the health of my family members as mine by visiting the branch.
