I saw an offer on ICICI website on booking hotels abroad on ezeego for a cashback of 10% upto a maximum of Rs.3000. I booked the hotel with ezeego and while booking ensured that the IVRS booking agent for ezeego keys in the right deal code, which he ensured me too.
This booking was made on Oct 18, 2013. On Nov 15, 2013 I filed a complaint with the ICICI bank as to when the cashback will be reimbursed (Complaint Reference Number:SR[protected].
On Nov 23, I had to make another complaint regarding the same thing and I was assured that post payment of the previous bill, the cashback would be reimbursed within 7 working days (Complaint Reference Number: SR[protected].
On Dec 7, I called the bank again and asked and after waiting for 35 mins, requested to be connected to the supervisor in-charge. I told him about the problem again and led him to the link on his website, where the details of the offer were present. On seeing that offer he accepted that there was an offer, but later refused that it was prevalent at the time of my booking which was Oct 18, since the website had updated the offer from November 1.
I have dug out the cached version of the website (August 17, 2013) which clearly shows that the offer was valid in the period the booking was made. The bank is not ready to accept.
