ICICI Bank — CashTxnChgs Branch Oct24 GST (Debited amount without notice)

On 24th Oct, I had deposited xxxx cash using the cdm machine at the ICIC xxx branch. I was mentioned no charges if I deposit the stated amount. So, I proceeded to deposit the said amount. At this month end when I was checking my statement, I found a charge of around 2, 864 INR was debited from my account.
I contacted ICICI customer care and was informed about the cash deposit charges.
Firstly, I would like to understand why the teller at the branch misinformed me about the absence of cash deposit charges.
Secondly, why did I not receive any SMS or email notification when my account was debited for these charges? Why was the debit not communicated?
I have been an ICICI account holder for 5 years, and this experience has been quite disappointing.
I kindly request the team to review this matter and reverse the charges, or I may need to escalate the issue to the Banking Ombudsman.
