ICICI Bank — change in emi date

I have taken a personal loan a/c no-lpghz[protected] from icici bank and my due date is 5th of every month. While taking loan the icici bank executive had told me that after paying for first emi then call to customer care then they will change the emi due date as per your convenience. But now my first due date is near to come but i called to icici customer care that after i will pay my first emi please change the emi date, they told me to visit the nearest branch after only emi date will change.
Then why icici executive telling the false statement while giving loan this is not good.
Is there any procedure to change the emi due date without going to branch because i have to take leave.
While giving loan they call us so many time and take all document but for little rectification they are not responsible.
Icici bank executive always say false statement.
