I have been a customer of ICICI Bank over 20 years. I moved to US and while converting my savings bank account to NRI, Bank added 2 more accounts with a new ID. I think sales team might benefit more showing me as new customer. I requested to merge all accounts under one ID but they started deducting minimum balance charges even after keeping a total amount of 20 Lacs and ~25 Lacs total assets across accounts. While I was working to get charges reverted, they slapped me another.
I felt ICICI Bank is more interested in charging customers rather than solving problems or retaining them. I will ensure that NRI community is aware of ICICI bad services and stay away from them.
