ICICI Bank — Coral credit card joining fee

Last Month I Was getting frequent phone call from Icici Bank credit card sales people(thrice daily).. Regarding credit card, I clearly told them that I am not Interested but they kept calling and informed me that since I was using Icici bank savings accounts i have been offered credit card by Icici bank free of cost and that there will be no joining fee so I agreed to give them documents. Now I got my first cc statement yesterday with 1000 rs joining fee and 145 service tax along with the amount that I spent.I Felt cheated and called customer care[protected] after a long conversation for about 35 minutes (2-3 Times) they said that we cant do anything and you have to pay the joining fee or else cancel the card. If this is the only option than why your sales team promise false commitment.. customers don't have free time to answer the call from sales team every now and then calling customer care and writing mail after feeling cheated.
