[Resolved]  ICICI Bank — Debit card blocked without customer consent and irresponsible with the delivery of new debit card

I received several emails from icici bank that a new debit card has been issued and sent to my address but i've not received. I was in us at that time and couln't contact the bank. When i went back to india, i contacted the bank and asked them to send the card as it is a mandatory upgrade (Chip card). After 2 days, bank blocked my card saying that a new card has been dispached and i'll receive it in 2 days. But that has never happened. It has been a month since icici bank has blocked my card and i did not receve the new card. Everytime i contact the customer care they make a new story and promise me that i'll get teh card in next 2 days. After so many escalations they agreed that it was their mistake to send the card to old address even after updating the address and so many folllow-ups. I was unable to make any payments or use my account as i have only one account and i am physically not present in india. Now i need to pay extra charges for all the payments that i was not able to make on time and interest for the credit card bill. It also affected my good will and my credit score as i did not pay the bills ontime which is very important for me. I have to borrow money from my friends to pay the bills whhich caused me a lot of trouble and stress. The customer care executives does not have any knowledge to serve a customer, i have to repeat the same questions 2 to 3 times so that they can understand. They are just giving assurance and making false promises but not doing any work. No action has been taken when someone blocked my debit card without my authorization. No action has been taken when the card has been sent to a wrong address even after submitting address change form at the bank. The bank agents are no better than any sales reps you see on roads, they do not have time to take customer complaint but they will spend any amount of time explaining the features of a new credit card which i am not interested in. Overall, this bank is not for customer service. They should realize that they are loosing customers because the way they trat their customers. I was a loyal customer for close to 4 years and so called privileged customer. I had enough privilege service from you.
